Fun craft for our Teen Space

This craft was done as a passive craft in our Teen Space and was very successful! We put out the materials and some learning resources, and Teens got really into not only creating their initials, but also words that they spelled out among their friends. The tip to put an earring backing or tacky glue on the end was great, and we had a few Teens who learned that the hard way.
This craft requires the participants to have pretty good fine motor skills, so it wouldn’t be suitable for really young kids (although I’ve seen Binary bracelets with bigger materials for younger learners). As a passive program, this worked really well for us, however, I could also see it applied as a more complete class with learning and communicating using binary.
